Heather Blitz is an international Grand Prix competitor and trainer who’s highlights include Gold and Silver medals at the 2011 Pan American Games and being reserve rider in the following 2012 Olympic Games in London on a horse she bred and trained from day one. She has ridden on Nations Cup teams both in the US and abroad, has earned numerous National titles from regional Champion many times, USDF National Intermediare Champion and 3rd level Champion , two times USEF 6 year old Champion and USEF Festival Of Champions Intermediare Champion to name a few.
What sets Heather apart from others is that she not only has extensive experience training horses from just under saddle all the way to Grand Prix and to international standards but she also possesses teaching skills that any level rider can benefit from. She has studied the art of teaching itself, and the study of biomechanics intensively for the past 25 years. She approaches all training situations from the effect of the rider’s body organization on the horse in understandable language that explains the HOW, not just the WHAT.
